Fishing is good when youre the first one to get their lure wet. A few hours past opening and the fish are either gone or dont bite. Otherwise, good hike.

Burd's Family Fishing
The trout were easy to catch and tasted great hot smoked. Pricier than the grocery store but worth the experience. We'll be back.

This is one of our favorite places to paddle. It's an easy down and back...about 5 kms in total. Lots of wildlife if you go early or for a night trip. The parking to launch is small at blackbridge but you can also launch right near the dam in Hespeler. The sunsets are gorgeous and if you're into lighting up your kayak, it makes for a great night time event. On holidays you can almost always see fireworks from your kayak!

There's better places to go that are closer to town in my opinion. You can have wiener roasts here though. You could swim there, but I wouldn't.
